  i find it extremely amusing how each year is passing without armageddon.

  "for the year 2000, i visualize a world transformed into a beautiful paradise!

  but i don't think that either the present world or its rulers will live to see that day.. we are living in the last days of the system of things.

  How did you find the truth about the truth (TTATT)

  i am sure there has been a post about this subject, however being a recent addition to the network i don't know how to do a search.

  and i'm sure new folks have joined since then.

  i am really curious of how others came to know ttatt.. for me is was a real bad experience with one elder after another.

  At the time, I was in my 10th year of being a very active ministerial servant.

  I already had my suspicions that I was "waiting on Jehovah" to clarify.

  One in particular I could no longer wait on Jah to answer though was regarding me wondering where the holy spirit was in the congregation I attended and if it even operated there.

  I already was begining to think it didn't exist. The question was really bothering me. I decided to look online, while "avoiding apostate sites", to see how other religious people might answer this.

  Then I stumbled upon JWnet. I just new I shouldn't have kept reading. But I was finding myself relating to experiences I read on here.

  I started to see I wasn't the only one with this concern and that it also wasn't local. It was worldwide in the organization.

  That got the ball rolling.

  It disappeared about the time Simon cleaned house of a bunch of useless threads. I miss that one too and thought it was useful in knowing where we are in the stream of time about Armageddon.

  New requirement to be Recommended

  per co last night, he mentioned in his talk that in oder for a brother to be recommended as an elder or ministrial servant he must have a regular and meaningful family worship night.

  this will demostrate his willingness not to miss that important meeting and preside over his household.. so i thought, wow what a way to add to the "inspired" biblical list of qualifications.

  serving jehovah is sounding more and more and more organizational..

  They make it harder to recruit new elders and servants with nonsense like this.

  So I propose to make it easier to remove the ones already in that position and aren't doing it. I bet a lot of elders and servants would disappear!

  The good ole GB wouldn't want that!

  we knew that sooner or later the watchtower would find him out.

  i found this video online that demonstrates just how dangerous it is to drift away from the organization and stay away from the weekly kingdom hall gatherings.. .

  a mother gray whale and her calf get separated from the pod (jehovahs organization and weekly meetings) and this makes them vulnerable to attack because they dont have loving companions for protection.. .

  the mother whale took her baby on a long journey, only to see it die.

  Are foreign-language groups at a disadvantage when learning TTATT?

  the watchtower library cd in spanish only goes back to watchtowers of 1970. this means that, for example, www.ajwrb.org 's info regarding blood can only be confirmed in articles from then onward.

  english-speaking jw's can access information on watchtowers going back to 1950. this means that the "worship jesus" article (1954) is not available, the "we officially ban organ transplants" (1967) is not available, etc.. congregations in the u.s. and canada have had witnesses since... well... the beginning.

  most kh libraries have very old books; it is relatively easy to find books going back to the very first watchtower!!

  No problem. I won't reveal what I was a part of here. But all I will say is that I have experienced it firsthand and my eyes are open.

  I am currently in fader status I guess. But definitely inactive on all counts.

  As in my case, if you served in an "appointed position", learning the TTATT is not hard. The politics is the same no matter what language you are a part of.

  Too many years of that and my eyes were opened and I was moved to question. The outcome? The JW's DO NOT have the truth, nor does any particular religion.
